Forsyth Fire Station 1 is located at 15405 US Highway 160 adjacent to City Hall near the center of town. Built in 1996, it houses an engine, a ladder truck, a brush truck and a mobile light trailer. With the the Fire Chief's Office located here, this is considered to be the headquarters.
More than 3,400 Americans die each year in fires and approximately 17,500 are injured. An overwhelming number of fires occur in the home. There are time-tested ways to prevent and survive a fire. It's not a question of luck. It's a matter of planning ahead before a fire starts.
Forsyth Fire Station 2 is located at 1050 Skyline Drive, in the eastern part of the city limits. Built in 2008 with a donation from Carmen Krehbiel, it houses an engine, a rescue/utility and an enclosed utility trailer. It currently has two volunteer firefighters stationed in residency there.
